Six
women's fraternities at Albion College are members of the
National Panhellenic Conference, one chapter is a member of
the National Pan-Hellenic Council. The seven chapters make
up our local Panhel Council which governs and coordinate the
activites of our chapters at Albion.
We follow
the Creed of the National Panhellenic Conderence, which is:
"The
Panhellenic Council will assist the member chapters in unity,
leadership, scholarship, education, and membership.
The council will recognize that we are the largest women’s
group on campus; we will therefore strive to be a voice for
women and support their endeavors. We will actively support
the Greek community on this campus to foster a sense of unity
among Greek members. The Panhellenic Council will change with
the times and take whatever steps necessary to cjdndndnnreate
a positive image for ourselves and to represent the ideals
of Albion College."

Chi Omega is a unique opportunity for women to get involved
with not only the College, but also with the community.
Alpha Chi Omega sponsors the Mr. Briton Pageant to raise
funds for philanthropic endeavors. While Alpha Chi
Omega strives for diversity and seeks women who are individuals,
Alpha Chi's always retain unity with the Greek system.
Combining opportunities for leadership, through officer
positions, and personal growth, Alpha Chi Omega remains

| The
Sigma Zeta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated
was chartered at Albion's campus on April 8, 2001.
The chapter was initially an Interest Group known as the
Precious Ebony pearls that was founded in 1999.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is the first
historically black sorority. It was founded in 1908
at Howard University. Our colors are pink and green
and our motto is "service to all mankind."
Our symbol is the ivy and our flower is the tea rose.
The Sigma Zeta Chapter here at Albion's campus is small
in numbers but still manages to do a lot. This year
we held our annual AKADate, a date auction to raise money
that is donated to breast cancer research. We also
had a coat drive and we tutor and teach important information
about college preparation and various other subjects.
The purpose of the Sigma Zeta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha,
Incorporated is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic
and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship
among college women, to study and help alleviate problems
concerning girls and women in order to improve their social
stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college
life, and to be of service to all mankind. Visit

Xi Delta is a National
Greek social sorority that was founded in 1893 at
Lombard College. Alpha Xi provides opportunities to develop
leadership skills in officers, scholarship and community
service. Our chapter is very involved in working with
children as our national philanthropy is Choose Children
and holds Xi Breakfast every year to raise funds for the

Gamma National Fraternity
is a women's fraternity and is a member of the National
Panhellenic Organization. The fraternity allows its members
and officers to gain leadership skills, participate in
community service projects, attend social functions, and
gain a group of sisters with whom they find a special
bond. Delta Gamma's national philanthropy is Sight Conservation
and Aid to the Blind. Anchorsplash, DG's philanthropy
project, is a great way to see how Albion College sororities
and fraternities come together to support a good cause.

Fraternity was the first Greek letter society for
women, founded to develop sisterhood and friendship among
women through social, service, and scholastic activities.
Thetas have weekly meetings and events like parties and
service projects to achieve these goals. Theta offers
many opportunities for leadership development, friendship,

| Kappa Delta supports leadership,
philanthropies, sisterhood, social activities, and high
scholarship. Every year, we hold KD Carnival and another
fun event to support the National Committee to Prevent
Child Abuse during "Shamrock Week." This,
along with Highway Cleanup, the President's Lock-up, and
sponsored events with local Girl Scouts comprises our
major philanthropic activities. On campus, we participate
in Homecoming, Greek Week, bloodmobile, Panhellenic Council,
and over thirty different organizations on campus.

Mu is always bursting with energy and sisterhood!
All of our new members have added an awesome energy to
the house, and we expect great things from them!
Informal weekly get togethers increase our sense of sisterhood
and allow us to kick back and have some fun! We
have been working on contributing to our philanthropy,
Children's Miracle Network, with various fundraisers including
the golf tee-off during Homecoming weekend, the
annual Phi Mu Softball Tournament, and the Luau for Love.
